Helping Hands Continues to Reach Out

As fall is coming and school is back in session, we’ve had a great summer. We received over 100 boxes of cereal from the VBS program and for this we are extremely grateful. We continue to help the people of Beckley and Raleigh County with food, household items and clothing. Our numbers are picking up which means there are more people who need our services.

We are always in need of non-perishable food. As I’m sure you’re aware, food prices are rising and we are feeling the pinch as well. We also are in need of towels and bed linens as well as baby clothes, soap and blankets. (There is always a need for blankets even though it’s not winter yet).

One more thing – don’t forget if you have a Kroger card, sign up under Rewards and list Helping Hands Community Resource Center as your organization and a portion of your purchase goes directly to us at a cost of absolutely nothing to you.

We are so thankful for your donations and prayers and ask you to continue both. Your donations can be brought to Helping Hands Tuesday through Friday from 9AM to noon or left in the large black container outside the church office.
